Swiss International Air Lines (short: Swiss ) is the principal airline of Switzerland operating scheduled services in Europe and to North America, South America, Africa and Asia. The airline was formed after the 2001 bankruptcy of Swissair , Switzerland 's former flag carrier. Nowadays Swiss International Air Lines has its hubs in Zurich International Airport , Geneva Cointrin International Airport , and EuroAirport Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg.
Check-in times: passengers are to arrive at the airport 90 minutes prior to the scheduled departure of their flight. Due to security requirements, passengers and their baggage will not be accepted at the ticket counter less than 30 minutes prior to the scheduled departure of their flight. Note that the minimum check-in time may be greater than 30 minutes at some airports.
Change to passenger name or flight: changes can be made either online for some extra cost per person plus any difference in price for a new flight, or at the call center for extra cost per person plus any difference in price. For travel to the same destination, the reservation can be changed to standby travel for any flight to the destination leaving on that day for no extra cost. If the original flight was the last out of the airport, standby travel for the first of the next day's flights is allowed and if there is only one flight per day, standby on a flight on the preceding or following day is not allowed.
Baggage allowance: 2 carry-on items with the max weight of 8 kg and max dimensions of 55 x 40 x 20 cm each are allowed per passenger of First and Business Class. And only 1 carry-on item with the same weight and measurement restrictions is allowed per passenger of Economy Class.Checked baggage must not exceed 203 cm and 40 kg ( for the First Class), 30 kg (Business Class) and 20 kg ( Economy Class) with the max weight per piece of 32 kg for European flights and some intercontinental flights
For flights to from/to the USA and Canada 2 checked bags with the max weight of 32 kg and max dimensions of 158cm each are allowed per passenger free of charge.

Child fares: : infants under 2 may travel on lap free of charge
Pet travel: pets can travel on all flights to any destination of Swiss International network either in the cabin or in cabin-like conditions in the baggage compartment of the aircraft.
Small dogs and cats and service animals only can travel in the cabin. The pet cannot exceed a weight of 8 kg (including soft-sided container) The pet must be kept in the container (including head and tail) during the whole flight. The container cannot exceed 115 cm (length + height + width)

Legroom: seat pitch is about 32-34”.
In-flight service: Meals and snacks are served, soft and alcoholic drinks are available for sale. Ñ omplementary entertainment is offered on all audio/visual-equipped flights.
