Alaska Airlines which was based in Seattle, Washington, USA, has now grown from a small regional airline to one providing passenger and cargo service to more than 12 million customers per year. It has a hub at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport , as well as large operations at Los Angeles International Airport , Portland International Airport , Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport and Vancouver International Airport .

Check-in times: don't forge t about 30 minute boarding rule, for domestic and international flights you are to be checked–in and available to board at the designated boarding gate at least 30 minutes before posted departure, otherwise reserved seats or the entire reservation may be cancelled. Web Check-In is available from 1 to 24 hours prior to the scheduled departure time.
Change to passenger name or flight: changes can be made either online for a fee of $20 per person plus any difference in price for the new flight, or at the call center for a fee of $25 per person plus any difference in price. For travel to the same destination, the reservation can be changed to standby travel for any flight to the destination leaving on that day for no extra cost. If the original flight was the last out of the airport, standby travel for the first of the next day's flights is allowed and if there is only one flight per day, standby on a flight on the preceding or following day is not allowed
Baggage allowance: up to 2 pieces of checked baggage is allowed . The maximum size of each bag can be not more than 62 linear inches (length + width + height) and may weigh up to 50 pounds. Excess baggage charges apply to additional pieces, overweight pieces between 51 and 100 pounds( 51-70lbs. – 25$ fee/ 71-100lbs. -50$ fee) and oversized pieces of luggage(63-80 in. -50$/81-115in. -75$).Maximum weight of each piece of checked baggage is 100 pounds. Any piece in excess of 100 pounds must be forwarded via air cargo or alternative means arranged by the customer. As for carry-on baggage: one carry-on bag, which can measure up to 10" H x 17" W x 24" L (25 x 43 x 61 cm), plus one personal item, such as a purse, briefcase or laptop computer is allowed. At least one of the items should be placed under the seat in front of the passenger.
Pet travel: animals may be transported in two ways dogs, cats, rabbits, household birds, and tropical fish are allowed to be carried for a fee of $75 if pet and carrier combined weight is up to 149 lbs. To travel with pets in the passenger cabin, reservations are to be made at least 24 hours in advance for any animal with the exception of tropical fish. Remember that a pet carrier must be small enough to fit under the seat( in.) and all pets crossing state borders, except dogs, are required by the U.S. Department of Agriculture to have a valid health certificate issued by a licensed veterinarian within 30 days of travel. One pet is allowed per passenger if traveling in the first class cabin and up to five small pets total in the coach cabin. Animals may be carried to and from Mexico via Baggage and Carry-on Baggage only.
Child fares: infants under 2 may travel on lap free of charge or on an Infant Seat Fare (50% off Adult fare) .There’s a full fare for children who’re 2 and older. A $7 (USD) immigration fee is applicable when an infant is traveling as a lap infant from either Canada or Mexico. For international flights lap infants are ticketed at 10% of the accompanying adult's fare.
Senior fares: Adults must be traveling on Alaska Airlines purchased published fare.
Pre-assigned seating: Can be booked online for no extra charge.
Legroom: seat pitch: is about 32-34”.
In-flight service: Meals and snacks are served,soft and alcoholic drinks are available for sale. You can rent a portable DVD player for $9 a day or digEplayer - a convenient handheld device which uses video-on-demand technology to deliver a spectrum of entertainment choices during the flight.
Air miles: frequent flyer program, Mileage Plan, gives opportunity to accrue points corresponding to the distance flown on that airline for the customers enrolled in it. Accrued points ( frequent flyer miles ) can be redeemed for free air travel; for other goods or services; or increased benefits like airport lounge access or priority bookings.
