Reasons to go to Italy
Italy is a country of romance and recreation. It can be named the home to two-thirds of the world's artistic heritage and is known as the birthplace of the Renaissance . Probably it is Italy's passion and complexity that make it so alluring and attract so many tourist all year round. Italy is a fashion leader, a gourmand's delight and trendsetter. It is famous for a city that floats on a lagoon as well as for the seat of the papacy. The Italians are and fully expressive, passionate very joyful, hospitable and friendly. It's needless to say that Italy has a fascinating and rich history.
The landscape reflects the history and culture of Italy. I can’t but mention Tuscany, that alone has one of the most classified historical monuments. Whether you're going to hike or ski in the Alps, to tour the wine country , to laze on a beach or to visit an olive plantation Italy won't make you indifferent but amaze and fascinate you.
Italy Flights Seasonality
The climate of Italy is comparatively temperate with regional fluctuations. Northern Italy is warm though with occasional rain during summertime, humidity is typical of central regions of Italy and it is hot and dry in southern Italy. The north is damp, cold and foggy during winter period; the south is mild while central is near freezing. Winters are long and cold in the Alps, and it may start snowing even in the middle of September .
Peak Season:
June to September is a holiday peak season for Italy's seaside and mountain resorts. From December to April is the mountain ski season. The cities are busy from April to October in spite of the heat and humidity. Venice is also very crowded during Carnival (February). There are plenty of tourists in Italy during New Year and Christmas holidays.
Shoulder Season:
From April to May and from September to October it’s not so overcrowded in the country and the weather is wonderful. A quiet time to visit Italy and take a cheap flight to the country is from December 15 to 24.
Off Season:
The off season lasts from November to the middle of December, as well as from December 25 to March 31. Some of attractions may be closed for renovation. Most Italians close their businesses and shops for a while and go on vacations in August.
